Our History
Benner’s auto body is a family-owned automotive repair facility, serving NJ for over 100 years.
It was owned by the Benner family up until 1983 when it was sold to the O’Neill Family. In 2010, Benner’s Auto Body was handed down to its current owner, Joseph O’Neill Jr., who has helped Benner’s continue to uphold its core values of providing the best products and service available on the market and leading by example as an active member of the community.
Since taking the helm, Joe Jr. has significantly expanded Benner’s community involvement to include donating cars to Veterans through the NABC’s recycled rides program, Volunteering for the New Jersey Veterans group, and supporting multiple charities that include, Union County 200 Club, Essex County Chiefs, Cranford Rotary, NYPD, FDNY, The Fisher House, Stand Up 2 Cancer, MSKCC, and countless others.
On the forefront of innovation, he has added stringent manufacturer certifications to include Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, Honda, and Acura. We are also proud now to be a Gold Class® collision repair business—among only 10 percent of auto body shops to achieve this status. Gold Class recognition indicates that Benner’s technicians are persistently trained in the proper repair techniques and procedures that contribute to the complete and safe repair of your vehicle to pre-accident condition.

After the tree fell on our new Mercedes I never thought it would be the same but the GL450 looks new again!

Great experience. The new paint job on my vehicle looked great and matched well. I was provided a rental vehicle on site through insurance that was well taken care of. The employees were polite and courteous.

I want to thank your staff for the magnificent repair they did on my car. It looks as though it just came out of the "showroom". It is perfect in every way and looks spectacular!
